Born for the runway! 🙈 I have had my eye on this

Born for the runway! 🙈

I have had my eye on this piece of gorgeousness by the lovely Gill @arvorandmor ever since she launched this range.

So after we had a very joyful festival in Mousehole together I decided I couldn’t wait any longer and snapped one up.

Isn’t it an absolute beaut?! I love the combination of the rugged sand-cast silver and the shiny copper shell.

As well as being a terrible model, I am famously not very good at looking after jewellery and accessories (I have sat on more pairs of sunnies than I will admit to) but this one will be cared for, and I promise I won’t wear it in the sea!

How is it August tomorrow already?!

I’ve got lots of fun stuff going on with family this month but I’m still fitting in a few markets, and the website will stay open for orders.

First up is the wonderful Big Newquay Market @cornwallshopsmall which is going to so much fun, with lots of entertainment, a bar, and more than 40 local makers and creators on the Killacourt.

I’ll be bringing along a range of vests, caps, phone pouches and of course hoodies for when it gets cooler.

Now the dust has settled WOW what a fantastic week

Now the dust has settled WOW what a fantastic weekend we had for our first time at @rockoysterfestival

The atmosphere was so lovely, the weather amazing, and the bands were spot on.

Saw lots of new music I loved - including Ben’s Brother, @fletchrfletchr and @nectarwoode
And watched great sets from @thecoralband and @freyaridings

I missed a lot I wanted to see - including all the headliners (!), one of my faves @daisymaemusic and the DJ set by @hueymorgan …

BUT I met a lot of my lovely local regulars, lots of new faces, laughed a lot with my trader neighbours @cornishglow_ @artesanobyagos and the rest of the shopsmall crew.

We were all kept in coffee by the lovely chaps at @origincoffeeroasters and we celebrated lovely @mayasfalmouth birthday.

Huge thank you to @driftandthistleco Hayley who stood in as I dashed off to a different wonderful day for my daughter’s graduation. And to Sarah and Kitty from @cornwallshopsmall for making everything seem so seamless.

Looking forward to next year already 🤩

Busy weekend ahead - tomorrow we head to @rockoyst

Busy weekend ahead - tomorrow we head to @rockoysterfestival for the weekend with a whole bunch of amazing traders from @cornwallshopsmall

Find us in the Basar Bazaar tent with a glorious view over the camel estuary. We set up today and it’s looking good!

On Friday you can meet my very good friend Hayley from @driftandthistleco who will be very kindly manning the Sisters of the Sea stall while I go to my daughter’s graduation.

All the new Henleys will be making an appearance, plus the new Boxy vests, and a full restock of caps too.

I will be there Saturday and Sunday and should be bringing some more Teal cropped vests with me.

Can’t wait!!

It’s going to be a weekend filled with incredible music and mouth-watering food alongside creative food experiences, an adventure and wellbeing programme, family fun and, shop small and local joy. Our tent of heaven will feature a hand picked selection of the most wonderful Cornish creators & curators of vintage & handmade fashion & accessories, contemporary art, craft & design, sustainable lifestyle & wellbeing inspiration, unique homewares & kitchenalia and artisan foodie good. 
Find Basar Bazaar next to the day entrance overlooking the banks of the Camel Estuary from Friday the 24th to Sunday the 26th of July.

It may seem as though I’m in the water every day b

It may seem as though I’m in the water every day but I’m not usually.

After a busy few weeks with other work though, this week has been FULL of time spent with lots of my sea sisters (and mister).

Mermaid pools, morning dips, evening dips, sunset drinks, long swims, pub lunches and paddleboarding.

Catching up in the sea (and over coffee) in stunning weather.

Can’t get much better can it.
